Reward For Information On Kidnapped Businesswoman

A reward is being offered for information leading to the safe return of Mary Ali, a woman who was kidnapped on Wednesday. Mrs. Ali, who is a mother of three, was seized by kidnappers as she was about to open her grocery store, "Cost Cutters Supermarket," at George Street in Sangre Grande. She was bundled into a grey Mitsubishi Lancer which sped off in the direction of Coalmine. Up to late Thursday, there was no demand for a ransom. On the supermarket's Facebook page on Thursday, relatives asked members of the public to call 273-0123 if they had any information. They said, "All calls will be treated with the strictest of confidence." Members of the Special Operations Response Team, the Eastern Division Task Force, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, and the Cyber Crime Unit are involved in the investigation.
