Heritage Petroleum Sticks To Public Tender Process

Heritage Petroleum Company Limited has told scrap iron dealers that it will not deviate from its public tendering process. This, in response to the Scrap Iron Dealers Association's position on the sale of now defunct Petrotrin's obsolete metal by tender process. The Scrap Iron Dealers Association has called for transparency in the bidding process for the material as they fear unlicensed operators may be poised to swoop in. However, Heritage Petroleum says as a wholly owned State Enterprise, the company is guided by the principles of the State Enterprise Performance Monitoring Manual and Geritage's associated Processes, Procedures, and Guidelines. The company notes the Association is advocating that Heritage Petroleum engage in a "sole-select" approach with their dealers only for this project. Heritage Petroleum is assuring the scrap iron dealers that it is committed to a fair and transparent process in the disposal of its obsolete assets.
