Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley has refuted claims that Government owes TSTT $1 billion.
During Monday's Focus on the Budget and Economy Forum, the Head of the Communication Workers' Union, Clyde Elder, made the claim.
In response, Dr. Rowley said the debt is in the region of $200 million and arose out of an arrangement to install CCTV cameras across Trinidad and Tobago.
He says Government has made arrangements to pay off the debt.
