Trade And Investment Convention A Success

The annual Trade and Investment Convention (TIC), hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association (TTMA), witnessed the highest record of participants in this first ever event of this kind on Wednesday. Over 10,000 participants took part in the digital affair. Although the exhibition platform encountered some technical difficulties due to the high traffic, the webinars and B2B meetings were hugely successful in generating new business and networking buyers, sellers, plus consumers locally and across the region. CEO of Advanced Foam, Amjad Ali, described the experience as very productive. Other manufacturers also reported leads in several export markets including Jamaica and the United States. The TTMA says there has been keen interest demonstrated by a young demographic in digital technology. They note that the TIC is designed to foster intra and extra regional trade for regional business across the Caribbean, with strong links to Central and South American companies and to opportunities to more than 47 countries globally.
