The UWI Linguistic Society continues using its weekly zoom meetings to further the scientific study of language and its structure. TTT News reached out to Senior Lecturer of Linguistics at the UWI St Augustine campus Dr Jo-anne Ferreira.
Dr. Ferreira who is also President of the Society for Caribbean Linguistics told us about indigenous languages in Trinidad and Tobago, and also gave an interesting take on whether Spanish might ever be our second language.
