WASA Aims To Improve Road Repairs

WASA has acknowledged it needs to improve its road restoration exercise after leaks are repaired. The Authority's Chief Executive Officer, Alan Poon King, confirmed to TTT News that this issue is engaging WASA officials at the moment, in an effort to permanently restore the roadway in the quickest possible time. Mr. Poon King added that WASA will also be ramping up its drive to fix leaks across the country, and noted the Authority receives reports of approximately 2,500 leaks per month, most of which are repaired. He said WASA does work with the Ministry of Works on an ongoing basis with regard to road repairs, but noted that it is the Authority's responsibility to restore the surface once they have conducted an excavation on the roadway.
