IMA And CARIRI Launch New App

The Institute of Marine Affairs and the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) have launched an App allowing the public to share information about coastal and marine activities with them. The Sea Information of Trinidad & Tobago (SEAiTT) App was launched via ZOOM and YouTube today. The App will allow beachgoers or anyone out at sea to take photos of marine sightings or activities, upload them, and give a short report on their experience to the IMA and CARIRI. IMA's Information Technician, Andre Hanies, listed some of the application's capabilities. So the next time you see a jelly fish at Maracas Beach or you notice oil clogging roots in the mangrove or even whales Down the Islands, simply download the SeaiTT app from the Apple Store or Google Play and upload your photos and a short report to the IMA or CARIRI. The App can also be used to assist in locating various local beaches and learn what amenities are available there.
