Don't Knock Government's Revitalisation Plan For POS

The Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan, has joined the Prime Minister in chastising local businessman Derek Chin for ridiculing Government's plan to revitalise the capital city. The MovieTowne owner recently criticised Government's proposed plan calling it a 'pipe dream.' Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley on Thursday defended the plan, saying it was a long term pre-COVID proposal to develop Port of Spain and make it a city full of activity once again. Speaking at the opening of the Water Taxi Pedestrian Overpass on Friday, Mr. Sinanan echoed the Prime Minister's sentiments, pointing out that all dreams become reality. Mr. Sinanan urged Mr. Chin to review his position on Government's project and work to enrich the city. The Minister is also calling on all of the private sector to assist in rejuvenating Port of Spain.
