Bandit Shot Dead

One of two men who attempted to rob a bar in Princes Town was shot and killed on Tuesday night. Reports state that shortly after 9pm, two armed men entered a bar located at Contention Road and announced a hold up. Police said the owner of the bar, a licensed firearm user, shot at the robbery suspects. One of the robbery suspects was shot, while his accomplice ran off and escaped. The wounded man died near the scene. He has been identified as a 26 year old man from the area. Police say they are familiar with the suspect, as he was said to be involved in several robberies in the area.
