Despite permission being granted to open for 24 hours a day from December 10th, the Supermarket Association says it does not mean this will occur.
Association President, Rajiv Diptee, says due to the high cost of security, opening around the clock may not materialise. But he says it is something that was put forward for Government to consider, so that supermarkets can open for longer hours to accommodate the increase in traffic, days before Christmas.
