Residents of Blanchisseuse are pleading with Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, not to close the only police station in the area.
Speaking at a media conference on Wednesday, former Mayor of Port of Spain, Louis Lee Sing who's a member of the area's Community Council, said he understands the station is being 're-purposed'. But he said residents in Blanchisseuse and neighbouring La Fillette and Brasso Seco, are fearful that crime will increase if this is done.
