The Tobago House of Assembly is continuing its efforts geared to promoting agriculture on the island. The newest project is the amalgamation of three previously THA-owned agribusinesses into The Tobago Agribusiness Development Company Limited (TADCO). Tobago Cassava Products Limited, Tobago Cold Storage and Warehouse Facility, and the Fish Processing Company of Tobago are now one. TADCO began operations on October 1st,2020 and includes all employees of the previous three companies. Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Ancil Dennis noted the first objective of the new company would be food security. He challenged all members of staff within TADCO to exert the same, or even more effort than the farmers in the field to ensure the company moves quickly towards profitability.
