Tobago East MP Distributes Hampers

Member of Parliament for Tobago East, Ayanna Webster-Roy, is spreading Christmas joy for yet another year to families in need in her constituency. From her personal funds and the support of a friend, just about 100 hampers and fresh chickens have been distributed thus far, with an additional batch to be delivered before the season ends. Two Homes for the Aged, one in Mason Hall and another in Belle Garden, were also privileged to receive hampers. Minister Webster-Roy said her drive to assist those in need comes from her own experiences. In addition to this Christmas Hamper distribution, MP Webster-Roy has supported the young people of Tobago East. Minister Webster-Roy commended her field officers for their efforts in finding families who were truly in need, and expressed appreciation for the support from the private sector. She called on Tobagonians to bring back the community spirit of long ago, where people offered a lending hand "to ensure everyone survived the uncertain times ahead." Christmas Food cards, an annual Government initiative, were also distributed at the MP's Constituency Office on Thursday.
