Children In Laventille Received Gifts On Christmas Day

Children in Laventille received some holiday cheer on Christmas Day, through the efforts of the local government councillor for Success/Trou Macaque and House on d Hill Promotions. Councillor Adanna Griffith-Gordon has been hosting Christmas treats for the past 7 years. She said although COVID-19 put restrictions on gatherings, she was approached by a group of young people and they decided to have a drive-through toy distribution. Ms. Griffith-Gordon said while contributions for the toys came from Angostura Limited and the San Juan Laventille Regional Corporation, Covid-19 also affected sponsorship. A representative of House on d Hill Promotions said they were happy to see their dreams of a toy drive and giving back to the community, become a reality.
