The festival of Kwanzaa is held between December 26th and January 1st.
Director and Founder of the Black Agenda Project, Dr. David Muhammad, gave a short history of Kwanzaa on the Now Show.
Dr. Muhammad said it is meant to build and maintain the black community as they share each other's problems and work to solving them.
He said the festival brings home one exclusive celebration with which African descended people can identify for the year.
