Teacher Killed, Male Relative In Custody

A male relative is assisting police with inquiries relating to the death of 48 year old Suzette Sylvester, of Mowlah Road Extension in Preysal. Reports are the victim, a Secondary School Literature teacher, reportedly had an argument with a male relative at her home between the hours of 10:30pm and midnight on January 3rd. It's said the victim went to bed around 2:10am on Monday. Police said another relative who was at the couple's home went to check on Sylvester some time later and discovered her dead. It's believed she was beaten to death. Police later detained a male relative for questioning. Investigations are ongoing.
