The Community Policing Unit of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service will be on beaches, ensuring beachgoers obey the law, especially the Public Health Regulations.
During a recent visit to the North Coast, TTT News met Police Constable Cromwell, who is attached to the North Eastern Division.
He said officers will be patrolling the country's beaches in the New Year.
PC Cromwell shared some of the offences that can get people arrested while on the beach.
According to the latest Public Health Regulations, everyone is required to wear face masks, face shields, or face coverings over their mouth, nose and chin while on the beach.
People are also only allowed to be on the beach between the hours of 6am and 6pm, and there must be no gathering in groups of more than 10.
