One of the ways to deal with the increase in gender-based violence is by tackling issues at home. This, from Political Leader of the Tobago PNM Council, Mrs. Tracy Davidson-Celestine. The candidate for Lambeau/Signal Hill and a shoo-in for the Tobago House of Assembly's Chief Secretary position, was speaking at the PNM's Women's Forum on Tuesday night. She said in 2020, there were over 200 cases of gender-based violence cases reported in T&T. She said Government can only do so much, since it has created laws and developed facilities filled with counsellors, in both Trinidad and Tobago, to treat with violence.
