Another COVID-related death has been recorded.
During the Ministry of Health's Virtual Media Conference on Wednesday, Acting Principal Medical Officer, Dr. Maryam Abdool Richards, confirmed the reports of another death. She said the deceased was an elderly male with co-morbidities. It was reported that the patient contracted the virus while warded at the Port of Spain General Hospital during the recent outbreak.
Director of the Epidemiology Division, Dr. Avery Hinds, gave more insight on the case.
