Auditor General Letter Is Not A Final Report

Political Leader of the Tobago Council of the People's National Movement, Tracy Davidson-Celestine, is describing attempts by her political opponent, the Progressive Democratic Patriots, to sully her name as "disingenuous." During a PNM Meeting at Milford Park, Bon Accord on Wednesday night, Ms. Davidson-Celestine fired back at PDP Deputy Leader, Farley Augustine, for accusing her and the party of corruption. During a PDP Drive-In Meeting last Sunday in Scarborough, Mr. Augustine produced a copy of a management letter from the Auditor General's Department to the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) for 2016. He claimed the letter raised questions about Ms. Davidson-Celestine's role in a zip-line project planned for the Main Ridge Forest Reserve. Ms. Davidson-Celestine explained that the management letter does not prove wrongdoing. Ms. Davidson-Celestine accused the PDP of using the same election strategy as the Tobago Organisation of the People back in 2013.
