Youth Development In Tobago

Youth development has been one of the priority areas articulated by political parties contesting 2021's Tobago House of Assembly elections. On Monday, the People's National Movement reiterated their commitment with their "Focus on Youth" meeting held in Castara. One of the party's youngest candidates, Kelvon Morris, told supporters while some may say the PNM has done nothing for the island's youth, the various opportunities and plans tell a different story. Meanwhile, the youngest candidate on the PNM slate, 30 year old Melissa James-Guy, noted that she is testament of the PNM's commitment to supporting young people in Tobago. She added that the PNM's 2021 team also emphasises that the party is willing to include the youth's voice in the decision-making process. The candidates said that unlike their opponents, who they claim have not provided a physical plan for the island's youth, the PNM has been sharing their plans in tangible form across the communities. They urged young people to lend their voice by casting their votes on January 25th.
