Reopening Of Schools For Standard Five, Forms 4-6 Students

Education Minister Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly has confirmed the Ministry will proceed with reopening schools come next month. At a Media Conference held earlier today, Minister Gadsby-Dolly said Secondary School students from Forms 4 to 6 will return to school as part of a hybrid education system starting on February 8th. The hybrid model means online classes will continue, however schools will only physically open for the completion of SBAs and practical lessons. For those at the Primary level who are due to write the Secondary Entrance Assessment exam, the Minister said those children will return to school in April. Minister Gadsby-Dolly assured all protocols are in place, and schools have been issued guidelines to ensure the health and safety of the student and teacher population.
