The Trinidad and Tobago Golf Association has confirmed that the 2021 T&T Open Golf Championships will be staged this year at a venue to be decided. The Coronavirus pandemic caused the cancellation of the tournament last year - the first time the event was not staged since World War II. The TTGA told TTT Sports that March 14th-21st is the week tentatively set aside for the tournament. The governing body for local golf had planned a week of golf in 2020 and will revive their plans in 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of several golf tournaments in 2020, and severe restrictions when golf resumed later in the year. The TTGA plans to stage a similar number of tournaments in 2021, but coronavirus has placed further restrictions on the number of players per tournament.
