Acting Leader Of The House Chides Opposition MP

The Office of The Leader of The House has called out Oropouche East MP, Dr. Roodal Moonilal, for falsely accusing Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley of a "disgraceful shutdown" of the Opposition's failed Motion of No Confidence in Parliament last Wednesday. A statement by Acting Leader of the House, Terrence Deyalsingh, said the affairs of the House were not directed by the Prime Minister but by the Leader of the House. Mr. Deyalsingh is acting in the position in the temporary absence of Camille Robinson-Regis. The release stated that claims attributed to Dr. Moonilal in a newspaper article were baseless, and that it is unfortunate that the Member for Oropouche East is trying to resuscitate the failed Motion in the public domain where It has been widely acknowledged as poorly conceived and poorly executed.
