AG Calls On Opposition To Support The Evidence Amendment Bill

This country continues to grapple with monsters while the Opposition refuses to support changes to the Evidence Amendment Bill. So says Attorney General Faris Al Rawi, who during Friday's sitting of the House of Representatives, called on the Opposition to support the Bill. According to the Attorney General, this country has been crying out for changes to this particular legislation, for decades. The Bill seeks to amend the Evidence Act and to provide for the use of different identification procedures, interviews and oral admissions. The Attorney General said amendments will protect members of the public in the future.
