Do Better Nah - Groups Join Forces To March For Women's Safety

A newly-formed group called 'Do Better Nah' joined a march involving the Trinidad and Tobago Promoters Association around the Queen's Park Savannah on what was expected to be Carnival Monday. Founder of the group, Krista Clarke, says this is an extension of the vigils and marches held last week, calling for women to be respected. She adds that the group was formed following the tragedy involving Andrea Bharatt. She believes it is fitting that the March took place on Monday. Meanwhile, Ms. Clarke wants the telecommunications industry to step up to assist women in their safety. The intention of the group is to develop it into an organisation which helps to put forward practical solutions and suggestions for the empowerment and safety of women, and to educate the public.
