Piarco Air Services Ltd, a cargo handling company at Piarco International Airport, has increased cargo handling by 53% during the pandemic. On Friday 19th February 2021, a new Board of Directors was introduced to the company's employees at its Relaunch and Rebranding Ceremony. The company's new Chief Executive Officer, Allison Holder-Clement, noted there had been no staff cuts throughout the pandemic and did not foresee any changes. It was noted that instead of staff cuts, the management strategy was to allow all, including executives, to take pay cuts of up to 60%. Guest speaker at the ceremony, Roger Boynes, applauded the company's efforts. PASL recorded a profit of 12% for December and January, and anticipates that it will maintain and increase profits with its newly launched services.
