No Truth To Rumours Of COVID-19 Vaccine Death In Tobago

The Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development of the Tobago House of Assembly is denying reports of a death related to the COVID-19 vaccine. In a media release, the Division said fake news is being circulated that someone died after taking the COVID-19 vaccine in Tobago. The Division further stated that no one died after taking the COVID-19 vaccine in Tobago. The Health and Wellness Division said frontline healthcare professionals are being vaccinated in Tobago and to date, all healthcare professionals have reported to work and are healthy. It said more importantly when persons receive the vaccine, they are monitored daily for four days for any side effects and noted that mild side effects such as fever, fatigue and injection site tenderness or pain are normal after taking vaccines. The Division is urging members of the public to refrain from generating and sharing incorrect information and advises the public to get information from credible sources.
