Minister of Trade and Industry Paula Gopee-Scoon's tour of the local garment manufacturing company, Janoura’s Custom Design Limited, was part of the Government's thrust to provide incentives to stimulate growth within the industry under the Ministry's Booster Initiative for the Local Manufacturing Sector. Co-founder of Janoura’s, George Janoura, said his company also assists with generating employment. The Ministry's Booster Initiative is meant to increase jobs, create foreign exchange, and generate income. Government has invested $50 million in the new venture.
