The newest vessel to service the Tobago sea bridge, the Bucco Reef, has recommenced its maiden voyage to Trinidad and Tobago. According to a release from the National Infrastructure Development Company, the fast ferry left Brisbane, Australia on March 8th. NIDCO said the voyage is expected to take 31 days, weather permitting. In January, NIDCO announced the Bucco Reef hit a snag in its journey, after experiencing technical difficulty, and was returned to Hobart, the closest port of call, for an assessment. Repairs to the vessel were impeded due to delays encountered with the supply of parts and replacement units from Germany and the United States. NIDCO said updates on the Bucco Reef's journey to Trinidad and Tobago will be provided.
