Repatriation Flights Continue

All repatriations exercises have been successful, with no one having been turned away to date. The update came from Principal Medical Officer of Institutions, Dr. Maryam Abdool-Richards, at Wednesday's COVID-19 update. In some instances, she says persons being repatriated can be turned away or not allowed to board a flight if they are without a PCR test, an outdated PCR test, or are showing flu-like symptoms. Dr. Abdool-Richards added that at least four more repatriations exercises are scheduled for the rest of the month. The last repatriation exercise took place on March 13th, which saw 121 nationals return to Trinidad, via Barbados, from the United Kingdom.
