The body of a man identified as Kurty Phillip of California was found on Monday morning at a pond at Windsor Park in Couva.
Reports are that Mr. Phillip visited to the pond with friends on Sunday morning, when he got into difficulty and disappeared under the murky water.
A call was made for help, but the search had to be abandoned as darkness fell.
The search for Mr. Phillip resumed on Monday and his body was retrieved shortly before 8am.
