Hyland Joins Warriors In Santo Domingo

It's been long in coming, but midfielder and possible captain Khaleem Hyland has finally joined the TT World Cup Squad in Santo Domingo and had his first training session with the squad on Monday. The players have been hard at work in recent days since arriving in the Dominican Republic last Thursday. Their scheduled practice match against a local club team on the weekend was shelved as a precaution as their opponents didn't adhere to the same strict COVID protocols as they did, but they are staying focussed and building towards giving a strong performance on Thursday, if former captain Marvin Phillips is to be believed. The experienced keeper is happy with the direction the team is taking with each passing day as they look to peak when it matters the most. He also believes a win will go a long way, not just for them as a group, but the nation as a whole.
