Point Fortin Man Chopped To Death

A Point Fortin man was chopped to death early on Tuesday morning in the presence of his girlfriend and young son. According to reports, at around 5am, 34 year old Martin Pattan was asleep at his Walker Street home in Egypt Village with his girlfriend and four year old son, when four men entered the house. The men found Pattan sleeping and chopped him several times about the body. They left him wounded on the floor where he died. Mrs. Pattan says her grandson was thrown off the bed by the men, while her son's girlfriend was hit with a cutlass. They were both taken to the Point Fortin hospital for treatment for minor bruises. Pattan's killing comes on the heels of the death of Romel Andre Lewis on Monday in Palmyra. Mrs. Pattan believes the crime situation is only getting worse.
