Persons With Autism Seek More Inclusion In The Workplace

World Autism Awareness Day, commemorated each year on April 2nd, aims to put a spotlight on the hurdles that people with autism face every day. This year, The United Nations has decided to focus on the challenges faced by those diagnosed with autism in the workplace. Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterised by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication Mahalia Joseph-Wharton spoke with Kevon Mills and Marlon Haddaway, two adults with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism), who tell us about their challenges in the world of work.
