Pensioner Found Dead With Hands Tied

Police in La Brea are investigating the murder of 96-year-old Utilda Joseph whose body was found at her home at Hillview Lane, Quarry Road, Siparia around 3:30 pm on Saturday. Police officers were alerted to the scene by a neighbour whose son crawled through a window after knocking on her front door and getting no response. Neighbours recalled last seeing Ms Joseph on Friday evening. Her great-nephew, Joseph Thomspon got the news of her death and rushed to her home. He said after searching her personal belongings they noticed his Aunt's bankbook and ID card were missing. Former Member of Parliament for La Brea Nicole Olivierre described Ms Joseph as a pillar of the community. She said the elderly should be cherished as they are walking history.
