T&T Lose First Futsal Friendly

It's not the result the players nor the coaching staff expected, but it's one they will have to live with as they prepare for the CONCACAF Futsal Championships which qualify teams to the World Cup in Lithuania later this year. After what many felt was an intense period of preparation, the team left TT quietly confident of putting on a good show in Costa Rica and then in Guatemala City, to earn a spot in the World Cup. But on Tuesday night reality set in as the TT outfit crashed to a humbling 7-1 defeat at the hands of the Costa Rican men's national Futsal team. A brace from Emmanuel Gamboa and one each from five other scorers cancelled out Dylon king's consolation. The two teams will do battle again in the second of two friendlies at the Scotia Arena, with the TT outfit hoping to give a much better account of themselves.
