Six More COVID-19 Deaths, 235 New Cases

This country has recorded its highest daily death toll since COVID-19 entered Trinidad and Tobago. This, as the Ministry of Health confirmed that six more people have succumbed to the virus within the last 24 hours. In its clinical update on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health said the COVID-related death toll now stands at 185. The persons were two elderly males with co-morbidities and one middle-aged male with co-morbidities. There were also two middle-aged males and one middle-aged female without significant co-morbidities. An additional 235 persons have also tested Positive for COVID-19 in the past 48 hours. The number of cases reported reflects the samples taken during the period May 1st - May 3rd and not the last 24 hours. The total number of active Positive cases now stands at 2,689.
