TT Cyclist Teniel Campbell Working Hard

The signs are positive for local cyclist Teniel Campbell, even though she isn't mounting the podium just yet for her new team Bike Exchange in the World Tour. Campbell, who is also using the Women's World Tour as preparation for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo, finished 56th overall at the prestigious Selmana Ciclista Valenciana four-stage race, which featured most of the top female road cyclists in the world. Campbell finished 41st overall from a field of 111 riders in the fourth and final stage, finishing in the main bunch 05-seconds behind the winner, her teammate Urska Zigart, with another BikeExchange rider Arianna Fidan-za second for a one-two to the BikeExchange team. Campbell, who is still adjusting to the demands of the many steep climbs and fast descends on many of the stages in races like this, has been doing a lot of the hard work for her teammates, often times getting them into position to attack at or near the end of each stage, and has been cited for her efforts.
