Training Troubles For TT Warriors

It's being deemed a nightmare for the National footballers as they try to get their preparations started for the next two crucial World Cup Qualifiers against the Bahamas and St. Kitts-Nevis in early June. The local players and coaches had their COVID-19 tests conducted on Monday afternoon before training at the Ato Boldon Stadium. But the players and coaches are far from happy with the situation at the Home Of Football which they were to occupy until they depart for the Bahamas on Friday. They are upset because the rooms originally designated for them have been occupied by the Beach Soccer team which just returned from competition in Costa Rica, and they say the other rooms offered to them have not been deep cleaned or sanitised, with no toilet paper in the toilets, while the bins are still full with rubbish from the last users. The players are expected to leave the Home Of Football after training and return on Tuesday to continue training, rather than stay in the Home of Football under those conditions. Efforts to contact the Head of the Normalisation Committee for clarification proved futile. The next two matches are must win games for T&T, and the squad is expected to be strengthened by a couple new faces from European clubs, who are expected to join the team in the Bahamas on the weekend.
