NCRHA To Discuss Use Of Private Hospital In Arima

The CEO of the North Central Regional Health Authority, Davlin Thomas, has been asked by the Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, to contact businessman Balliram Maharaj about his offer to the Government to utilise his private hospital in Arima. Minister Deyalsingh said in order for the Ministry to consider his offer, he must provide some key information, like his certification under the Private Hospital Act, his Chief of Staff, his organisational structure, and full details about his wards. According to media reports, Mr. Maharaj said he is willing to let Government use the facility at no cost. The Minister said if his information is satisfactory, discussions will advance. Mr. Maharaj is the former President of the Supermarkets Association, and CEO of ADM import and Export Distributors Ltd.
