Heritage Monitors Oil Spill At Weber Trace

Heritage Petroleum says its spill response team is monitoring the Weber Trace community and environs in Palo Seco following Wednesday's oil leak.. The concern is that there may be some leaching of oil due to rainfall. The local oil company says on Wednesday, the Spill Response team had cause to visit three residents of Weber Trace to contain an oil spill, and clean up the area. They found that the source of the leak was due to a corroded flowline. Apart from monitoring for leaching, Heritage says the spill response team will be also monitoring the air quality in the area and an Oil Spill Containment Crew remains on standby to immediately respond should it become necessary.
