South Oropouche Man Found Murdered At Home

Investigations are ongoing into the murder of a 33 year old man. According to police reports, the body of Ryan Johnitty was discovered by his parents at his Palm Drive, Dow Village, South Oropouche home around 7pm on Tuesday. He was found with a wound to his neck, a belt and black cord around his neck, and a white plastic bag covering his head. His vehicle, a white Kia Optima, was reported missing. Police inquiries revealed that Johnitty, a plant operator at Trinidad Generation Limited, worked the 7am to 7pm shift on Monday. Police suspect robbery as the motive for the killing.
