Minister Hosein Commends Local Government Practitioners For Their Continued Efforts

As the pandemic continues to affect the world and Trinidad and Tobago and as we roll deeper into the hurricane season, the Minister of Rural Development and Local Government is expressing his gratitude to all local government staff. Senator Kazim Hosein says this includes Mayors, Chairmen, Deputy Mayors, Vice-Chairmen, Aldermen, Councillors, CEO's, technical staff, disaster management staff and all essential employees at the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government. In a release on Sunday, he noted that the fourteen (14) municipal corporations are at the forefront of COVID-19 relief and many burgesses have benefitted from the yeoman service given by local government representatives. Minister Hosein commended the efforts of the municipal corporations saying that during the pandemic burgesses have relied on the local government representatives and the council members have been bringing much-needed services closer to the people. He further added that the CEPEP Company Limited and the Rural Development Company (RDC) continue to do important work throughout this pandemic.
