PM: NIS Employer Corruption Rampant

Large portions of the population are having difficulty accessing the government's COVID-19 grants. Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, says this is because too many employers have not been reporting on the existence of their workers to the National Insurance Board. The Prime Minister adds that those companies have not been paying the National Insurance contributions for the employees nor making the corporate contributions. Dr Rowley is calling on the NIB to step up on their investigations into worker claims and their enforcement on companies.
