Businesses Urged To Tap Into Digital Market

CEO of Planting Seeds Caribbean, Stephanie Pemberton, is urging more small businesses to take the next step in becoming digitised. Ms. Pemberton, who is the founder of the Planting Seeds TV Series, which seeks to provide a platform for entrepreneurs, says too many businesses only engage in the traditional form of business, even during the pandemic. But she believes these small businesses or even individuals should become involved in the digital market, which opens a world of opportunity for sales. Ms. Pemberton is advising entrepreneurs not to ignore people in rural areas as they have been profitable for many businesses. Ms. Pemberton was speaking during a Digitisation Forum hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.
