Murder Suspect Recaptured

A woman held by police over the weekend in connection with the murder of a Maraval businessman was recaptured on Monday morning, after she escaped from the St. Ann's Psychiatric Hospital. Police reports said the 41 year old suspect, who was sent to the facility for evaluation, was discovered missing from her ward around 4:30am on Monday. The police were alerted by a nurse on duty. The suspect was later found by officers of the Port of Spain Task Force at the Botanical Gardens. She was taken back to the St. Ann's Hospital. The woman was arrested last Friday at the scene of the murder of John Henry Smith.
