LeRoy Clarke, one of this country's best-known artists, has died.
The Master Artist, Author, Poet, Philosopher and National icon, who had been ailing for some time, passed away at 6am today.
His close friend Sunity Maharaj remembers his life.
Ms. Maharaj says that LeRoy Clarke was determined to change his world and ours as he worked with budding artists all the time.
LeRoy Clarke was born in Belmont, Port of Spain on November 7th 1938. He leaves the world today as a visual artist who wished us to "see and, to go deeper than surfaces allowed."
