US Companies Interested In T&T

Several US companies are interested in investing in Trinidad and Tobago. The US Embassy's Charge d'Affaires in Trinidad and Tobago, Shante Moore, spoke of the investments when he met virtually with Minister of Trade and Industry Paula Gopee-Scoon recently. Mr. Moore noted that there six companies interested in travelling to this country to further explore collaborations in the Information Communications Technology (ICT), Food and Beverage, and Energy sectors. The meeting was held to discuss trade relations between and opportunities for non-energy investment in Trinidad and Tobago. This country's products currently benefit from preferential access to the U.S market under the Caribbean Basin Initiative (CBI). A preferential trade agreement which has been extended to Caribbean countries until 2030.
