At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month 1918, marked the end of World War I. In 1919, King George V asked the public to observe two minutes of silence for all fallen soldiers.
Every year since, on the second Sunday in November, several countries worldwide observe Remembrance Day. Today, wreaths made from poppies were laid as we remembered our fallen war heroes.
